Unit 4: Telling stories

This unit is about telling stories, ranging from unwritten short stories to plays that are performed in the theatre. Telling stories is an art that spans generations and cultures.

• talk about your experiences of stories and reading
• speculate about the stories and characters of three short plays
• practise some basic acting skills
• listen to and then read and perform a short play
• discuss the content of the plays performed in your class
• read about a very famous story from America
